Working closely with designer Amanda Bradbury, from Fabrik Interiors, and Simon Mulholland from Leeds University, a sustainable solution was developed for the latest round of bathroom refurbishments at Devonshire Hall.
Carefully designed in conjunction with lead architect Chris Head (Chris Head Design) and Samantha Heap (Don Amott Parks), the Taplanes shower cubicle specification was tailored to fully meet the design requirements of the end user. Understanding the project requirements & environment, is key to providing the right specification during the initial design process.
Jesus College approached Taplanes through their architects Niall Mclaughlin, requiring a sleek and simple product that would fit within stylish, high spec en-suite accommodation and provide a robust, long term secure barrier
against water ingress.
Taplanes were asked by UEA to provide a sample en suite Pod in 2011, as one of three proposed
solutions to replace the rapidly deteriorating GRP en suite Pods, installed as part of the original 800
room build at The Village site.
